Each release of CF4em consists of a different package for each supported database platform. This is not because the code to interface the database is different in each package, it is because I wanted to make the
installation process as painless as possible for you.
The only difference in each package is the contents of the /database and /support directories as well 2 variables defining application information pertaining to the database platform and datasource name which are set within /inc/cf4em_config.cfm. If you are having trouble with an installation, be sure that you have downloaded the correct package for your database platform. This will help to eliminate as many of the installation steps as possible. Once you have the correct package, open the zip file and find the /support directory. Inside this directory, you will find step by step documentation of the installation process for your particular database platform. If the installation documentation fails to solve your installation issues, please search the forums and bug reports for known installation issues before posting your problem or contacting me directly. |
